Perhaps, but I think the idea of running someone other than the incumbent is a nonstarter. It would look like the party thought that Biden was a bad choice all along, or he became a bad choice and they didn’t find a way to set him aside before this.

I think Biden was and is the answer. But, going back to my original post, there was value in putting Harris in the spotlight either way to show a unified team, and that if something were going to happen to Biden, things would be in good hands. It's weird how quiet she is.
