there’s this thing where the perception - and sometimes i even agree with the perception! - that trump doesn’t really believe in this or that conservative position cancels out and replaces the actual policy being carried out by his people. it’s very strange

also - editors of the media outlets we read want Trump to win. They either agree with his politics or think he's good for ratings/clicks/etc. Hence why we see many outlets putting a thumb on the scale and deepthroating Trump at every opportunity
