I know, it's a gorgeous tribute. I have the DVD of the film made for Sunday Theatre. It's a wonderful love story. My G'dad played provincial cricket at the time, playing against Bert Sutcliffe & captaining Western Districts. I'm sure he would've known Bob Blair & approved of this tribute.

I asked my (much younger) workmate if he recognised this today. For the reason that everytime he says "Kiaora" to us he does in a way that reminds me of Suzy. He didn't recognise the song, and it was a huge scandal in the office ๐๐ข The missed generation I guess ๐ณ๐ฟ

Pukekura Park in New Plymouth. My Grandad played his cricket here captaining Western Districts when mum was young. Such a lovely ground, and still so family/picnic at the cricket friendly.

I never thought about this growing up (the pogues were mum's favourite band, so I gained appreciation for them later on) but they really did a lot for Ireland at the time didn't they? I wouldn't say Fairytale was their best song, but definitely the best ever written Christmas song & always will be!
