Same (though I just turned 44). I'm beginning to think the conventional wisdom about people becoming more conservative as they age is limited to the baby Boomers / silent generation, if it's true at all.

To the extent that it is true, I think it's because, on average, Boomers got progressively *richer* throughout their lives. Wealth is a far better predictor of political ideology than age is.
