I bought a couple of non-functional pocket watches a few months ago with the ambitious goal of making one working watch out of them. After some fumbling about with little success, I gave up. Two months later, I picked it up and gave it a shake, and it fired right up. I guess I fixed it!

I had occasion to use the "You're one of today's lucky 10,000" line with someone on reddit a couple days ago, then I got to show a friend this XKCD comic - so she was one of the lucky 10,000 that day to learn about the lucky 10,000.
