It just doesn't seem like it's possible to curate a positive experience there, and I've reached the point where I mostly just feel kinda shitty after using it. Anyway, I appreciate the tone here, and while I'm sure there are jerks, the algorithm seems to largely submerge them. It's nice!

I just checked my Twitter account and I have something like 25k accounts blocked. Despite that, though, I am still constantly exposed to the thoughts and feelings of AI evangelists, conspiracy theorists, and the most virulent bigots you can possibly imagine. Also: porn bots.

So I've been actively trying to use Bluesky instead of Twitter for a few weeks, and I have to say it's been really refreshing. While I haven't been able to remove Twitter completely - most of the animators and hockey accounts I follow aren't on Bluesky - the contrast between the two is stark.

This is older...some friends were trying to get funding for a tactical indie game and I did some mock-ups and preliminary designs for them. I still like this, though, and think it would have been fun to make if we'd had the chance.

What are you switching from/to? I’ve been considering dropping Adobe for Clip Studio or maybe the Affinity software but it’s daunting to give up the comfortable familiarity of Photoshop.

Maybe this is too nerdy to post, but I have like one follower and he already knows I'm a nerd, so I have nothing to lose. After I drew my nomad/bounty hunter for Notorious I decided to draw his equipment. And give him a name that hopefully gives off authentic Glup Shitto vibes.

The art style in the actual books is so charming I couldn't hope to compete, so I just did my own thing, but still had a great time drawing reptilian Boba Fett guy.

I've been really interested in solo board games and rpgs lately, and kickstarted Notorious/Outsiders a while back. For those who are unfamiliar, it's a Star Wars-but-not bounty hunter rpg and it seems really cool. This is the character I rolled up, and I'm excited to actually play!

Listen, twitter has been great. I've enjoyed blocking twelve porn bots a day and wading through a thick strata of blue checkmark bullshit under every post. But Elon's latest innovation - pumping a steady stream of raw sewage directly out of your phone speaker - might just be a bridge too far.
