It is frustrating. It may sound superficial, but I think abortion is such an all or nothing issue, that many people of faith will vote for literally anyone who opposes it, no further discussion required.

It's hard to blame them when the people they trust frame it as baby murder and in some cases the direct undermining of the purpose of life. But at the same time, I was able to see through Republicans well before I was ready to reconsider my stance on abortion, so idk if that fully explains it.
