Good news! Galaxy continues to kick ass and kiss girls in the pages of HAWKGIRL: ONCE UPON A GALAXY, in stores now!
@amancay.bsky.social, Adriano Lucas, Alex Guimarães & Carrie Strachan do incredible work illustrating it, and Galaxy's co-creator, @deuxdel.bsky.social did a fantastic variant cover!

I have squandered too many hours of my life playing video games to be this bad at Alan muthaf*kin’ Wake 2. What is going on here? Was there an option for bullsh*t controls that I accidentally turned on somewhere? It’s a schlocky horror game with high-end production, not Stephen King’s Dark Souls.

It’s good to let the Doctor be passionate, and allow him to express it in ways other than exasperated yelling at Cybermen, ancient fish, and rich people.

I loved the episode of Pokerface set in the retirement community.

Wow! Sounds like having some sort of option or selection that allows for those who desire a greater or lesser challenge would be a worthy addition to the game. Maybe some kind of theoretical “difficulty chooser control” could be implemented. After that is invented, of course. 🙃

Only reason he’s doing this himself is because they defunded Officer Big Mac.

Yep. But that’s just the show proving to you that you’re still human.

Angry mayor in striped suit: “We can’t close the beaches on 4th of July weekend!” *aide whispers in ear* “Uh, can’t close the riverbanks on 4th of July-“ *aide whispers again* “R-riverbanks on Bastille Day? Right?”

I saw a fan art of Zelda, about to whack an octorock with a table, and all I could think was a wrestling announcer voice shouting “Princess Zelda with the steel chair!”

How much body horror and incest can you stomach? Because I’ve got quite the Brian Yuzna film recommendation for you.

They tried to say something new with that 2010’s remake but basically danced away from all the things they were trying to do. Probably because Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner are also still the best at communicating those messages.

You can’t make a sequel to a sophisticated parody until the world has changed enough that there is something new to say about it. Supercop movies kept on going. Privatization of public services kept on going. Robocop never stopped being relevant. Nothing more needs be said. Just watch it again.

Agreed. Also, sleeping past the alarm so that I have to do the running after the sun is up is a bad move on my part.

He definitely has. When he surprises Luke, leaping out of the dark he’s silent. I used to wonder if he held his robot breath or just flipped a switch on his chest to turn off the works.

Saw the season finale of Doctor Who and I like when a zany fun show is zany fun.

Yeah, and if you’re on board for 1, I’d say 2 is almost as good. Especially if you enjoy how they wanted to get the aesthetics of Robocop in there. I really like urban setting for Predator, but films like I Come In Peace and The Hidden kind of drained that well dry.

Prey is terrific, but that’s because it’s different, doing smart things where all the others do silly things. If you start there, there’s nowhere to go but down.

We all have to get really, really interested in who they may be posting to cabinet positions. Stuff you don’t get unless you’re subscribed to paywalled articles and listening to three politics podcasts. This is the most un-sexy election possible.

Pick one that looks cool. Stay if you like the charisma, try another if the chemistry isn’t there. There’s no need to follow lore or continuity. Retcons abound, and anything that one story introduces is irrelevant once someone presses a button that flips dimensions.

Historically, the appearance of wealth is important in ensuring the viability of trade between nations, so an excessive display of treasure by the monarchy is good, actually. Just look at how well it worked out for France in 1788. And then stop looking. Don’t turn that page! 👑 🪓

Eh. I still think 9/11 plays a big part in it. It happened when Gen-X were about to get our hands on the levers of power. If you didn’t sign on to the hate parade, you were slapped down. Rich Xer’s are Boomer 2. The rest have gone further back; Silent Generation 2.
