I imagine most of India & west Asia will be uninhabitable by mid century. the american southwest too. all those people will become climate refugees. crops won't grow. there'll be new diseases. it's hard to even think about how fucked up it'll be, which is probably why most of us don't really

the unfortunate part about extractive capitalism's decline and the failure of the left to provide real alternatives thus far means that we will have socialism alongside barbarism. the human tolerance for depravity far outweighs our ability and willingness to do the right thing.

Honestly makes me hope that the theory that by the time the climate gets bad enough for that to happen earth will effectively reset and have another ice age is real.
