Okay that was one of the most amazing stages I've ever seen. Bardet and van den Broek pulled off what felt like a miraculous win. The peloton ALWAYS runs guys like that down.

Fun fact, Van den Broek was an IT-student 2 years ago who also rode with an amateur team. Now he is the kingmaker for Bardet. Incredible watch.

I've been watching cycling for around 2 decades now and I can count in one hand the amount of times I've seen breaks like that succeed. Bardet's first ever (!!!) yellow jersey had to happen that way
