Okay that was one of the most amazing stages I've ever seen. Bardet and van den Broek pulled off what felt like a miraculous win. The peloton ALWAYS runs guys like that down.

I wish it were more popular here, the way it's like several different competitions taking place simultaneously makes even more boring years have things to watch for

Fun fact, Van den Broek was an IT-student 2 years ago who also rode with an amateur team. Now he is the kingmaker for Bardet. Incredible watch.

I couldn’t allow myself to believe. Bardet getting caught with 500m to go would have been the most Bardet kinda finish.

I've been watching cycling for around 2 decades now and I can count in one hand the amount of times I've seen breaks like that succeed. Bardet's first ever (!!!) yellow jersey had to happen that way
