Finally finished with DQ5 after years and years of always "intending" to play it (among other unplayed DQ games of course. Very enjoyable to get through it finally, even though the game gets a little random at the end. Pretty interesting structure for the time with the family generations aspect.

Finally finished this one. Tried to mimic how the official Gen 3 Pokemon art was coloured as it was the only real way it was going to end up finished, but I don't think it came out. Still, was fun to try something a little different, and I still want to try my other teams later. #digitalart #pokemon

It's such a rip that out of all the flavours they had for this contest the absolute worst one (Voltage) won, and you can STILL buy it all these years later. White Out and Supernova were pretty decent if memory serves.

Ignorable microtransactions are fine enough but I think it can depend on the game. Some games feel okay, some definitely obviously feel like the fact that you can buy certain things has changed the design to make them artificially rarer, which sucks.

tbh it's kind of funny (albeit saddening) that this comes up with the AAA issue, which is so spurned on by the need for impossible endless growth all the time. Corps and AI losers treat art like cancer and show no regard for the problems that arise when you try to make it as malignant as possible
