Imagine having an extremely fast brain wired to hate yourself and berate you over every minor thing that happens. Sometimes, there are several thoughts at once. Every gaff you've ever made available the second you make another tiny error. This is the reality for a lot of us.

"If you cared, you wouldn't have forgotten." Fuck you. Our brains don't work like yours. There is a level of effort we have to put in above and beyond NT brains to manage time related requests. Caring does not relate to memory.

And how the slightest, most neutral thought can trigger a humiliating trauma seemingly at the speed of light. Even traumatic memories that nobody would remember or consider painful for anyone but me. It's enough to desire total amnesia to cleanse away my pain.
