I tend to look for the scientific stuff. And on balance arguments. Yes one plant might have some benefits but if the rest of your diet is crap it fixes nothing. Like the current hyper focus on protein. As if it’s the only consideration in a healthy diet.

A lot of "food science" is junk science. In the early 80s the Japanese diet was considered the worst in the world due to high sodium content - by the early 90s it was the best in the world due to high omega fatty acids. Coincidently I had fresh beetroot with lunch yesterday...
