I tend to look for the scientific stuff. And on balance arguments. Yes one plant might have some benefits but if the rest of your diet is crap it fixes nothing. Like the current hyper focus on protein. As if it’s the only consideration in a healthy diet.

I watch a fair bit of admittedly left wing stuff on British politics. I just hope, but doubt, Starmer can live up to expectations. He at least appears to be more honest than Albanese. It’s still going to be a big ask to fix things without Europe’s money.

Every time someone claims immunocompromised people can’t take the COVID vaccine, more of my hair turns gray. It is the opposite — People who are immunocompromised need different, bigger and more frequent dosing than the rest of us to elicit an immune response.

It’s fun that when right wing parties win it’s reported as reflecting the views of the people, but when left wing parties win it’s reported as politicians dragging the country to the left. Loud right wing extremists are not the majority, in Australia or the UK, we mostly just want more fairness.

I worked two jobs prior. Covid disabled me. I have long covid that has given me POTs and uterus issues. Guess that’s my fault for catching a virus and becoming disabled!

It’s not about what I watched. It’s about the US voters. I don’t want another 4 years of Trump inflicted on the world, especially as a close ally, because the Democrats learned nothing from 2016 and won’t provide a candidate who will get voters to vote. I like Biden, but he should have retired.

That should be so much EASIER with FPTP! I know we have 150 seats to their 650 (and our Senate votes literally take weeks to get a final result), but even with preferential voting the ABC can give us get a pretty decent Two Party Preferred projection for most seats three hours after polls close.
