In my experience, a friendship only breaks down when the person venting doesn't listen to their friends in turn. It's only when someone's intent on wallowing in their misery that it becomes exhausting, and you don't seem like that kind of person. (2/2)

IIRC they had to do stuff like this to avoid running afoul of US broadcasting laws about advertising to children. I guess by making the cards look slightly less like the real thing, they could get away with it?

I'm actually using Central Point Desktop here, but I had Norton Desktop installed previously so its program group is still there. Norton doesn't let you put icons directly on the desktop, or at least it doesn't work properly.

OK, I *think* I finally solved the audio echo issue. Turns out OBS doesn't actually use ASIO without installing a plugin, so it was no wonder the mic had a delay on it. It's just weird that it suddenly became a problem now instead of always being there.

Between Sunday's and yesterday's streams it seems like there's suddenly a slight delay between my microphone input and capture, so there's this echo effect on stuff that's coming out of my speakers. Really annoying, I wonder what's causing it...

I finally got some floppy disks so I could update the BIOS on the retro box. But the RAM I bought still doesn't work, so that narrows it down to either both of these sticks being bunk or the computer's manual lying to me about what RAM is compatible
