The media will now jam Reform and Farage down our throats, US style, but the far bigger story is LDs+Greens surging. That takes the edge off the bad vibes for me.

Admittedly I just woke up and still looking through the news, but as an outside observer with no horse in the race, this is the bit that jumps out at me - they gained a combined ~270 seats with effectively no new voters? That's nuts.

Im in US...do they try to do horse race narrative in the news there and then turn it into sport for people to take any policy preferences out of people's voting habits? Our media hAs completely failed us....but at least a few already wealthy moguls became marginally wealthier...amirite?

Reform did get more votes than the LibDems and twice the Greens - not that that means they should get more coverage. Media vultures do like to pick at carcasses though.
