This guy was such a G for telling his evil wizard cyborg boss that his religion is bullshit during a work meeting.

Google’s emissions are up 48% in 5 years. Microsoft’s are up 30% since 2020. Those soaring figures are being driven by mass investments in data centers to power AI tools. Generative AI is a climate disaster and data center expansion must be stopped.

If your area got a new Labour MP then it is your duty to email them and say that you are happy the Tories are out but that transphobia should have no place in the party. Make Starmer gently walk back his support for Rowling's position!

People are right often when they say ‘politically Britain is becoming just as bad as America’ but Sunak’s speech shows an important way in which is hasn’t. A number of ways actually. To be able to move frictionlessly between governments may be boring, but it’s so, so important.

A little, yes, but more that the government's support collapsed and their voters stayed home or voted for other parties.

It's because it's first past the post. Seats are not representative of votes cast overall, just who got most per district.

Brilliant. Right, now bring in proportional representation and swap the House of Lords for a people’s assembly. Leveson 2, and releasing the Russia report would be rather spiffing, too.

Yes, that's pretty much how all UK elections work. The Tories are the UK's default position, and they threw it away.

The media will now jam Reform and Farage down our throats, US style, but the far bigger story is LDs+Greens surging. That takes the edge off the bad vibes for me.

A total of four seats for the Greens, up from one, and Lib Dems up a massive 61 from 8. There's a story there, and the story is there are people who are left-leaning, but cannot vote for labour with a clear conscience. (Climate change ignored and anti-trans rhetoric.)

It really is a weird symmetry that this year the UK elections are the 4th of July and the US elections are the 5th of November.

Their stated plan was that by making everything worse, things would improve. This is genuinely what the British electorate voted for, three times.

Happy to share the poster illustration I did for Gerald McMorrow's new short film EMBERS! ✨ It's an incredible short based on a story by Douglas Adams (that is in turn a retelling of the Sibylline Books), a fable about climate change, greed, and the consequences of our actions.

Had a great time interviewing Cameron, mighty warden of @panictable.bsky.social. If you're into Mothership, or simply nightmarish space horses, their Actual Play is a must watch & what they have coming next - found-footage clips and materials to accompany your own horror RPGs - is unbelievably cool.

One of the things that saddens me about the normalising of the far right is that parties of “the sorta left” have moved to accommodate bigots as they believe “the masses” are far shittier than they actually are

Another amazing video from #PeopleMakeGames, talking about the issues in the video game industry right now.

PMG hasn't put a bad video in the time I've been actively watching them, I'm glad there's an outlet producing videos like this.

I would agree with you on the witholding if we had PR, or if it were a presidental vote. The problem is my local MP is *Jacob Rees-Mogg*, and only the Labour candidate can beat him. I cannot withold my vote. Labour's positions are excrable on many things, but at the same time, all politics is local.
