A debate that few watched didn't move the polls. It's the pundit narrative afterwards! Which is just straight up R talking points - that Biden is too old. Imagine if the media/pundit narrative was instead about how unhinged Trump was/is. Could've moved the needle the other way.

My birth certificate is in Farsi. I have a photo of the State Dept consular report of birth abroad to American citizen. Requested a copy of the real thing and the estimate is 10 YEARS to search the National Archives to find it. Kept my maiden name, so that won't be a problem. Better not move to TN.

Twitter was once a good resource to get multiple viewpoints in a short time. I don't know any place to go now. The major news sources have had 8 years to figure out how to give us accurate information without "both-sider"ism and failed. I liked Post for the civility - didn't agree with everyone.

Appreciate you! Algorithmic siloing of information is a problem. But it's not like BlueSky is unique. I'm old enough to remember when we had 3 networks and multiple local newspapers that gave us the daily news and then everything splintered into smaller and smaller fragments.
