But that comparison is wrong. If you consider it renting, then you are not renting 1 game, you are renting 500 (or however many games are on Game Pass). The only thing I'm saying is, when it's buy a $20 game vs renting access to 500 games at the same price for a month, that's a great deal.

Oh, I'm not saying it isn't a lot of money, I'm just saying math is math. Four AAA games at $60 each is $240. The new Game Pass price of $20 for 12 months is $240. Four AAA games is the same as a year of Game Pass. Play more than four games in a year, all I'm saying, it's still a bargain.

I'm not seeing that math. Using COD as an example, that's a $70 game. Game Pass is $20 a month. So if you play 4 "big" games a year, it pays for itself. Play a bigger game every few months and some smaller ones peppered in, it's a fantastic deal still. But, yes, optics here are absolutely terrible.

Game Pass at $20 is still a deal so long as you play one newer game every three months. If you play more than that, it's a damn steal. People saying otherwise are ridiculous or bad at math. That said, Microsoft has gone about this price/service change horribly and the negativity is totes warranted.

I enjoyed this new season of Doctor Who quite a bit. Absolutely adore Ncuti Gatwa's take on The Doctor and Millie Gibson's Ruby. Their chemistry is overwhelming. Also, really, really enjoyed that two-part finale.

Long overdue addition to the collection. Killer Klowns from Outer Space is one of those movies I remember watching way too young that equally terrified and delighted Wee Ryan. Foundational in building my love of horror.

It's usually in the high 80s, low 90s here in Phoenix by October but, yes, that's still hot. But heat is secondary. My main take is that we're too early for me, personally, to get pumped for Halloween. It's why I don't celebrate Christmas in September.

Credits rolling on Evil West. A straightforward, bombastic throwback to action games of yesteryear with great design and gameplay. Just good old-fashioned, over-the-top fun. I had a blast with it.

We got our last set at Walmart, of all places, and really like them. They have their version of lower, mid and higher-end stuff, all at decent prices. I think our sheet sets were like $30 each and the comforter, which we love, was like $60. That was all in the "high-end" group.

Gorgeous views and cool weather up at the cabin. Lots of reading on the porch. We got in a couple rounds of Battletech Encounters tonight. Have to head back to 115 degrees and work soon, but this was a nice escape.

I know they have a new movie coming, but it baffles me no streamer has picked up the series and run with it. Not a remake, none of the same characters. Just a new story within that universe. Make each season a different era in history for the main character. Could be so cool.
