Wear a badge/nametag thing. Like I have several for all my institutions but just wearing one on a lanyard makes them think you might work there—put your student ID in a plastic holder & clip it to your shirt. I also did my PhD at Johns Hopkins (in astrophysics so totally not related!) but I find

Walking in with my JHU branded tote bag on my shoulder also gets attention. Speak as much in technical terms as you can about your condition, as clinically & neutrally as possible (sometimes this is just impossible if you’re simply down bad, but, when poss) Cheap psychological tricks, but they help
