Just for grins, we picked up a pound of fresh chickpeas. Tasty, interesting mouthfeel, but IMO not quite worth the effort of removing the peas from their little pods.

Lots of things to be concerned about if Trump wins. But the one at the top of my mind is the certainty that mainline Dems will find a way to blame it on trans folks. “We didn’t throw them under the bus hard enough.”

More than a year later, I’m still baffled and angry that neither Congressional Dems nor the WH had a reaction plan or set of talking points locked and loaded the day Dobbs dropped. Especially given that they got a preview weeks in advance.

I have slathered more Voltaren (an externally applied NSAID gel—the only NSAID I’m allowed) on myself in the past two weeks than I did over the previous two months. Ugh.

I’m watching a local station’s 10 pm news, and it is just abysmal. One anchor’s mic keeps fading in and out. Both of the live reporters so far were—obviously and haltingly—from their phones. Sad.

The NHMU has a hallway lined with cases displaying some of their gems and minerals collection. I’m always delighted to see those rocks. They’re many the same pieces as the display they had in their old building, and that display is my clearest first memory of my first trip there, 50+ years ago.

Just finished a trek through The World’s Largest Costco. Exhausted. But there was one nice moment: a lovely short butch gave that nod and smile that says, “I see that you appear to be a queer person. I too am a queer person. I see you and greet you!”
