I guess an angle to consider is they’re a cap team for the next few years because of Ovi and Backstrom/Oshie, so they’re gonna spend the money anyway and the kids are cheap, but if that’s the case then let’s get stupid. Bring in Stamkos or Guentzel, hell get Crosby too so he can play with Guentzel

Obviously none of that happened, but if you’re duty bound to spend to the cap then you’re gonna end up with some pricey boondoggles just to hit the number
