Having people say “I want access to your ______ database, this specific person/company in the industry, or make something for me cheap/free, or step by step how you get this thing in your career—and ghost you afterward or promise help in return but won’t offer it” would have been preferable honestly

All this is to say I will always help others, and I believe others should do the same—but I’m no longer giving my all for others who just want something from me like I’m a search engine or a career ladder and not a person who wants to be treated like a person
