Yeah to me this statement reads more like “I’ve gotten a lot of demands to address this and I take my constituents seriously; I stand with the party’s decision either way” or whatever. If she really wants him to step down I appreciate she didn’t go about it like an arsonist at least

Biden isn't going to be around as a political force past 2029, if then, and & no one who has any ambitions past 2029 wants to go all in on him. That's one of his biggest weaknesses here: even if he survives, he's a quasi-lame duck, especially because he's avoided playing the insider game.
