the UK solved gerrymandering by giving all constituencies names. harder to make a stupid district if you have to say its stupid name out loud

We don't seem to get much gerrymandering, but it can still get weird. I've moved from Bristol West, to Bristol East, while anyone sensible would describe me as "central Bristol" given how close I live to the Bristol city center. But trying to get even seats will always be a bit weird.
