In Catalonia le grande imprese hanno affittato vigne e terreni mezzo abbandonati nella parte povera e li hanno riempiti di turbine eoliche come se fosse un bosco. Hanno distrutto un paesaggio e la gente che vive li paga gli stessi prezzi per l'eletricitá che pagano tutti. Decisione difficile.

When I lived in the UK the most rabid UKIP supporters (also bigoted racists) where people who lived in small villages in the countryside. Unfair that votes in metropolitan areas have less weight than those in less populated rural areas; the result is a disproportionate support for the far right.

When mainstream media becomes a tool of far right propaganda the result is dumb people voting for perceived threats (immigrants bla bla bla) and not real ones (increased inequality, services privatization, corporate land grab, anti environmental rhetoric etc) which is what the far right supports.

After that rosy article I had a long chat with an Iranian friend who said that nothing is what it seems and that Pezeshkian is just another puppet set up by Ali Khamenei. Repression will continue until the religious dictatorship will fall.

È un fanatismo collettivo che trascende la logica. Il movimento ultra religioso (Christofascism) che si ha insediato al fianco di Trump, con piani di sovvertire la democrazia (Project 2025), ha influenzato alla grande quella gente impressionabile molto presente nel mondo rurale che purtroppo vota.
