Every year, for Rube's birthday, artists drew him! I'm a little late, and I know I am not an artist, but here's mine! I started with the bow tie.

Hmmmmm. When it comes to trends/info, I don't worry or care. I write what makes me happy and hope that it works out. (For inspiration, I read ten picture books every Friday, for a sense of what librarians are enjoying.) As for panels and opportunities, I discuss with agent and peers.

MAGNOLIA WU UNFOLDS IT ALL by Chanel Miller is A++ middle grade. Great voice + writing, a seemingly simple story that delivers those big middle grade moments, humor, and a touch of perfect MG weirdness. I loved it so much. Great for a family or class read aloud, imo! 📚👍 #kidlit

My version: in bed. With coffee. I write in my notebook until I feel ready to get up and go to the computer. Sometimes, I side write. Sometimes, I draw squares.

The place is magic! Look at their mission and what they offer. Take a class. Get involved! You can book a personal retreat whenever there is room, too! If you have a cohort, bring your next event to them. The setting and food are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am about halfway into MR MAGIC and really enjoying it. I just finished Rob Costello's excellent anthology, WE MOSTLY COME OUT AT NIGHT. (It was fantastic.) And I loved MID AIR, by Alicia D. Williams. Next up: Diana Ma's THE UNBEATABLE LILY HONG.
