My daughter is 10. Half of her friends are in full blown puberty and listening to Taylor Swift all day long comes with lots of informal sex ed:). It’s too late to talk to her about a lot of these issues. I really think the beginning of sex talk is 6-7.

My kids are a little bit older, 13 and 10, and I’ll add that the sooner you have these conversations, the less awkward they are as they continue to grow up. My kids knew what tampons were when they were three, and guess what, we don’t have to talk about periods now :-)
