I’m still housesitting in Lafayette until the 18th. I can hear BART and 24 from here, but it’s still like wild kingdom. Turkey and deer have been walking through the yard like they own it. (I mean, I guess they kind of do.) And I just heard a coyote. And owls.

The house I’m at has a swinging saucer for their kid, and while I love hammocks, this thing makes me impossibly nauseous. I laid on it swinging for 5 minutes 20 minutes ago, and I’ve been nauseous ever since.

It took us 2.5 years to get a liquor license. A “mom” ain’t cuttin’ it. Unless you bring the governor of your state to vouch for your shady ID, I ain’t buying it. (Though, I could picture my governor doing that.)
