Would you say the same thing about the enhanced child tax credit that we had for six months that cut child poverty in half? It worked great on its own. Would you ever say we shouldn't restore it unless we did all those other things too? The sellers inflation we saw was enabled by a pandemic.

As an acute temporary measure, absolutely it helped. And I want Universal Credit raised yesterday. But structurally, in the long term, all of this has to also be coupled with measures that prevent people's money from flowing straight into corporate pockets because otherwise it's set up to fail.
