And you can bet they will; I once worked in a location that had a Baskin & Robbins concession and they had strict rules on the weight of each combination of cup + number of scoops. Workers found to serve generous scoops were written up; multiple write-ups led to warnings, suspensions or worse.

Like, what's their life? Do they work? Read the news on their smartphone? Watch TV? How have they been able to live their life and entirely escape hearing or seeing the term at all? And is that a privilege or a disadvantage? Does it help or hamper them in navigating today's reality?

It's weird that the term AI is everywhere as if we cannot escape it, it just gets bandied around a lot. But then I witnessed a conversation between two people where one complained about exactly this and the other responded "Huh? A-what?" because they had no clue what the other was on about.

My late mother had grown up on a farm and would reminisce about how much she had loved the taste of raw milk, and yet whenever we went there she fed us kids any (nor did ever I see her have any)... (This was a small non-industrial farm, decades ago, cows still milked by hand, outhouse, etc)

How I **begged** my parents for Operation... despite m having motor skills issues that would guarantee me losing every single game of it against everyone. My parents got a lot wrong, i.m.o, but refusing to get me that game was probably one of their best moves.

It's interesting you mentioned the pandemic price rises because the initial inflation was totally because companies' costs going up due to wars/pandemic/Brexit. But then corporations went out to see how far they could push it to bump their profits, and that's not inflation that's greedflation.

As an acute temporary measure, absolutely it helped. And I want Universal Credit raised yesterday. But structurally, in the long term, all of this has to also be coupled with measures that prevent people's money from flowing straight into corporate pockets because otherwise it's set up to fail.
