Anybody have any favorite fictional podcast series? Like with actors and an ongoing narrative. Drama, action, comedy, other strange and terrifying genres, etc.

Midnight Burger and Amelia Project are two of my recent faves. Silt Verses is great (but I'm biased). Recent strange like is Modes of Thought in Anterran Literature. Among the Stacks has a great premise (again biased). Madison on the Air @madisonstandish.bsky.social is just hilarious (biased).

I've been enjoying The White Vault quite a bit, but I have a fear that it might get a bit too complicated and sprawling and too wrapped up in its own mystery to actually resolve anything (a *ton* of horror podcasts have this problem, IMO).

Midst is a fantastic sci-fi/fantasy western! the sound design is spectacular and the character writing and world-building are so in-depth, charming, and clever! Red Valley is also excellent if you like sci-fi horror about cryogenics, also has some stellar sound design and great characters

The White Vault is quite good. It's reminiscent of The Thing or At the Mountains of Madness.

Hang on I've been listening to a ton. Among The Stars and Bones is great scifi mystery with a sprinkle of horror. Mirrors is fantastic supernatural-turned-scifi. Overbrook is great surreal horror-comedy (first episode is shaky but improves from there).

is quite good. The story is fun, the performances are phenomenal, and they pull off some frankly amazing things with their sound design.

I see others starting to give recommendations, so! Midnight Burger is SO good. Check them out. Shameless plug for Moonbase Theta, as someone else already promoted. I like to have people start with Wolf 359 (scifi space suspense) or Bright Sessions (therapy meets x men high school kids)
