Just imagine researching the place you're planning to travel to in order to get a sense of their customs rather than going there uneducated and then being entirely unprepared for cultural differences. Crazy!

Oh joy, a scheduled 90-minute power outage next week.
Well, at least it is scheduled.
Guess I'm going into the office that day.

Nah. I'm pretty much only into things that I can imagine happening IRL, and vore's a bit too fantastic in that regard.

Done with tracks 4801-4825 of the Great Music Relisten Project. That was 68 files, about 6.75 hours of music.

It's kind of silly to me that 99% of the time I feel done with the SCA, and then 1% of the time I see something that hits the 'Now I'm annoyed enough to comment,' button.
We're in that 1%, and it's over something I didn't even care about until I looked at it through the lens of inclusivity. Whoops!

Beware of any argument a person makes that benefits themselves without clearly benefitting anyone who isn't just like them.
On the other hand, any argument someone makes that benefits other people while doing nothing to benefit themselves deserves a good listen.

Someone I respect made the following statement, and I hope they didn't realize how it sounded or the uncomfortable associations it raises: "... there are a bunch of people who joined and want to reshape the club into what they want."
I've asked my friend whether they were aware of how this sounds.

Qotd: "If your ability to have fun is dependent on inhibiting the ability of other people to have the same kind of fun that you'd like to have, then maybe you need to take a closer look at yourself and why you think it's important to close the door to other people."

Watched the 'new' "3:10 to Yuma". Heck, what a ride, especially the ending! As one would expect, more visceral than the earlier film, and with enough variances that both films are worth seeing. If you want to talk about the virtues of redoing an earlier film, this is a great argument!

Watched the original "3:10 to Yuma". It was pretty good, and the performances of the two leads were great, but I do have some lingering questions.
