Absolute truth! People deserve respect and love before a scene even begins. Kink isn’t just being mean and hitting/being hit by toys, it’s about connection and understanding your partner. A lot of kink media doesn’t show aftercare, the discussion before a scene, or the awkward setup.

Indeed. If there wasn't an element of trust between the people in it, they wouldn't be doing it with each other at all. And yet puritanical sorts will frame it as "abuse" regardless, as if people who do kink are too "lesser" to be trusted with that.
