Sometimes I like to sit on a rock and just look at lichens.

The newsreader app on my iPad has been giving me regular alerts around this discussion since last week. It's absurd. No alerts about Trump and Epstein, though.

There’s opportunity here. We can’t get corporations to pay taxes. But what about naming rights to govt buildings and offices.

This was the belief in 1860, too. It was assumed the North would capitulate in any fight.

I keep on thinking about how John Roberts messed up nitrogen oxide with nitrous oxide in a ruling on how the courts were better suited to provide expertise than experts.

Oh, I almost forgot. After the apple juice was recalled, Dollar Tree left in on their shelves for 8 weeks. Caveat emptor, I guess.

Didn’t we just have a situation where a manufacturer was intentionally adulterating children’s apple juice with lead?

The doctrine of papal infallibility comes to mind here, but applied to (GOP appointed) Supreme Court justices.

I loved this movie. Ian McKellen was great. But I also chuckled when his jeep got stuck in the mud, “and he shouted “My kingdom for a horse!”

I was on a fencing team many years ago, around 1990. We had to fight to get our league to allow the women on our team to compete sabre. They had to fight mostly against male opponents, and did fine.

I had an epically bad experience with poison ivy in my teens, so I think my system is primed for a strong reaction to urushiol.

I think cashews are also related. I think it’s the pit and the skin of the mango. I’ve been ok with bottled mango juice. But fresh mango is a big no for me. The worst part is, because it takes a day or two for the rash to appear, it took multiple experiences for me to make the connection.

Mangos are in the same family as poison ivy, and contain urushiol, the same oil that causes poison ivy reactions. I found out about this in an unfortunate way

So many people I knew on Facebook pushing that movie, saying how important it was. I couldn’t put my finger on why at the time, but it raised so many red flags for me.

I get perspectives on social media like this that I don’t get just scrolling the news sites. It’d be a loss to have that go away. But, Lordy, do a lot of the bigger accounts put up with so much crap on here.
