My story is not as serious. But I almost got arrested for stealing my own car. It was stolen, and recovered, and the paperwork incorrectly filed. Got thrown up against the back of the car. Cop had his hand on his gun.

He accused me of fleeing from the cops. He’d been driving behind me for the last 2 miles. Because of this, I was driving the speed limit, careful to stop at every stop sign. As soon as the lights came on, I pulled over.
