Yeah it's real demoralizing. To put all that effort into crafting an assessment that both engages the material students are learning and is engaging for them to do. And then to be greeted with an LLM hack job.

Even the simplest things are not immune. I spent a good chunk of last summer building a twine game for my intro module. Students were just supposed to play the game and write up a short paragraph on what they learned/ how the game reinforced lecture concepts. Still got some obvious LLM junk. 😔
