Secondly, I stated I was fighting 'Gutwretch', who is a Northrend pet tamer, which also indicates this is 'not my first rodeo'. Thirdly, the message 'cannot create pet battle' is not anything a player controls, it is a system error of some nature. 3/4

Firstly, taking one minute's look at my account would show a truly staggering number of pets, wild, dropped and vended, all raised to level 25. Therefore, I have obviously gone through every possible bit of battle pet training available. 2/4

The skill applies to all characters on your Blizzard account. Most companions are battle pets and can participate in pet battles, however, there are some non-combat pets, such as the Alliance/Horde Balloon or the Argent Squire. 4/4

To participate in pet battles a character must purchase Battle Pet Training from the Battle Pet Trainer in their capital city. This training is available to characters on the full version of World of Warcraft but will not be available on Trial accounts. 3/4
