At the time I do remember feeling kinda... weird that everyone treated the "RIIIIDDGEE RACER!!" moment as silly. Since, well, I liked (and still like) Ridge Racer a lot so my younger self was all "y u all make fun of gaem I like? T_T" ... in hindsight though it was pretty hilarious.
