I find that physically writing things on paper makes it easier to remember. Making written notes means ironically that I don't need the notes afterwards.

Yeah I think there’s a few things I need to do that to as well so I can really keep it in my brain

Same. I’d make notes then not need the notes because I could close my eyes and see said notes. Writing it down leaves a strong imprint on the brain.
