one nice way of bridging this -- building local community + doing something in states where it matters -- might be to have a house party that you invite neighbors to, have conversations about what matters to you, and do postcard writing/phone banking there!

Agree. 200 postcards among 10 people feels a lot more sustainable, too, from a perspective of “will I do this again with others?”
