This has a simulation imposed on the modern landscape (and a fleeing RV) of what the floods were estimated to look like. A very conservative estimate (likely larger).
BTW, Nick Zentner is a Washington state treasure. All of his stuff is super awesome.

The rules include not having sex even if you are married, and families will be split up, with men and women/children being housed in separate facilities. You are also expected to work at jobs assigned by the organization. It's not clear if there is any pay for this work.

That's an even worse example. Human language is full of shaded meaning, sarcasm, coded language, and inside jokes, especially when humans are trying to disguise something. AI is terrible at dealing with stuff like that.

A woman who lived in the area told me that before the big eruption, the people who had property up near Spirit Lake were all riled up that the rumblings were part of a government plot to make people evacuate so their land could be seized. Seems crazy, but Close Encounters came out a few years before

They used the fig leaf of "bad test scores" for the school they had been assigned to, but of all the solutions that were put forth, the only ones most were willing to accept were to be assigned to a majority white school, regardless of "test scores".

That's not true. We had a year here in Seattle when enrollment was way up, and a lot of students that were in the borders of a majority white school had to get allocated to a majority black school (ironically MLKJr Elementary) that had a lot of spaces. Uproar ensued with many white families refusing

It is self-interest. They are quite likely correct in that viewing medical care as a right to be provided as a public good is a crack in the dam. The fact that they provide it to those they employ tends to shackle those employees to such companies, which is extremely valuable.

The ones they had at my college were 200MB (around 1985). My operating systems textbook had an algorithm for sorting data held on multiple 8/9 track tapes. These would hold ballpark around 100-150MB of data. The IBM XT was released in 1983 and had a 10MB hard drive.

I don't believe Biden did anything to cause inflation, that was going to happen anyway due to people who had a job through covid piling up tons of cash they then wanted to spend, which then knocked its way through the economy. I'm not sure what Biden could have done to stop that.

Besides, ash depositions travel for hundreds if not thousands of miles, they certainly wouldn't have established the exclusion zones based on that or they would have had to evacuate millions of people.

He was not. You can see his location on this map, it was outside of both the red and blue zones. Only 3 people were known to have died inside the exclusions zones, all inside the red zone. Two were geologists who had requested permission, and the other was that idiot Harry Truman.
