Have you met “people”? (I think you have, and all your comments here are just trolling. Amirite?) I actually think this idea is genius: it will confuse time tracking so much, that people will never know when someone is late to work or a date or anything! 🤣🤣

It's 11:53 UTC. Can I call someone in Australia? This used to be answered by "what time is it in Sydney?" (easily searchable and answerable) and has now become "Is 11:53 UTC the kind of time someone would likely be available for a call in October in Sydney?"

Partially, I am trolling yes, but our reference frame concept of time is artificial and arbitrary, and changing our reference frame is no more or less irrational than the reference frame we use now. (It would actually be less error-prone, though.)
