One of their hotter takes is that this is not just a media frenzy, but reflects the media catching up to real voter concerns about Biden’s ability. They say 70% of voters say they are concerned about his age

Speaking as a semanticist, it's wild to me that they are phrasing it in terms of whether an *act* is characterized as "official", when what they seem to actually be talking about is whether there exists a *description* of the act that can be characterized as "official".

I think I would reframe this and say that ameliorating capitalist inequality would go a long way towards addressing the material impacts of race hierarchy but that also, there is no path toward a more equitable world that doesn’t involve tackling racism head on (see: king jr., martin luther)

The ancient Hebrew word רָצַח is not really a perfect match for murder or kill, and there’s been a lot of debate over the centuries as to how we should render it in English. That said, it seems like most of the popular modern translations use “murder” for this verse.

100%, when Dr Fauci said there was no reason to wear a mask, I believe knew that that was incorrect but was trying to conserve masks for healthcare workers. A noble goal for sure but I do think it technically counts as a lie.

I’m not deep enough in right-wing media to know what this phrase is supposed to imply, so if I were given this poll I would consider it point by point:
- China lied: yes
- People died: yes
- Fauci lied: he may have lied about the effectiveness of masks early on
So I’d go with “somewhat agree.”
