It's also fascinating that, since Thursday, it's by and large the right and center of the Democratic Party freaking out, while the left (and apparently the actual base) is going "shut the fuck up and get behind Biden."

Those of us on the left who planned to vote for Biden before the debate were doing it as harm reduction, so a bad performance just isn't relevant. The only thing that matters to us is what's most likely to beat Trump. I think the centrists are shaken because they actively support him.
