Daphne Gottlieb is one of my favorite people, and a wonderful queer writer/performer who has rocked my world on many occasions. She recently had a costly, annoying battle over the rights to one of her books and she needs help recouping the costs. Please give/share!

There's me responding to random ass people popping in and shitting themselves.
My beef was with Mox. Not you or anyone else so I stopped caring.
I will defend my position regardless as it's rude not to at least answer. π
I still think Mox is a bitch but I'm not gonna follow em around.

Their reply under the post targets Chocolate Labradors.
It is a personal grudge.
I asked her what her post really meant. She dodges the question. The post itself was hostile towards another group. Mox is a bitch and so is anyone else who hates dogs.
Not fears, cause I get that, but hates dogs.

A fear that's COMPLETELY RATIONAL BTW.
They don't know what's happening.
Humans do.
They have no warning.
Humans do.
I'd sooner accommodate a scared child than an entitled adult.
I'll probably not be doing FW next year cause someone I care about will be out of an institute by then.

I'm fine in this fight. If you're overwhelmed you can go.
I'll respond long as I get a response.
My argument has been "lay off of dogs" from the beginning. Expanding on what I mean doesn't change my argument.
The dogs did nothing wrong.
You can advocate without shitting on dogs for their fear.

I'm pissed over the implications that only humans experience PTSD and them talking as if other people should care about humans more than dogs because they're "actual human beings".
It pisses me off.
I don't care who they value. I care that they make their grudge public saying others should agree.

Look at their top comment under the post.
It refers to chocolate labs.
It shows a clear grudge against dogs in particular.
" "Oh poor dogs" meanwhile I'm an actual human with severe mental health issues. "
That's how it sounds. As if dogs don't have PTSD.
The poster didn't deny it either.

I turn my back on this species for dogs because even the "good ones" have the capacity to be vile.
Dogs are the purest fucking creatures. They do not age past a mental age of 3.
And YES they do experience PTSD.
I was mad about the invalidation even if I didn't immediately bring it up while angry.

Their sentence was saying that "poor dogs" is a better PSA than "you have actual human neighbors with severe mental health issues".
Which implies we should be less empathetic towards dogs. It also implies that only humans can have PTSD and dogs are just "spooked".

I don't fuck and don't date.
That's called being a damn nun. If you aren't Aro/Ace then you don't get to decide if we're queer.
We're lgbt+ but that doesn't make us queer.
In the comment under the post they targeted chocolate labs and the post itself invalidates animal PTSD in favor of human.

I wouldnt be here if I stopped being notified.
Why use another ss? It has the right stuff underlined.
I only need the original post and I dont show it to the same person twice.
Since you're here, you can explain what your words meant. Cause from here it sounds like you have a grudge against dogs.

We suspect he was HEAVILY abused as a puppy, especially since he gets stressed around shoes and attacks shoes rather than anything else.
Most dogs are trusting but not Poochie. He's open to it but it's the same as trying to talk to an abused child.
You have to go slow over many visits.

You clearly don't know much about animals.
Especially dogs.
They'll refuse to sleep for days. It's not "5 minutes".
A dog I used to have would refuse to eat for a week after fireworks.
Dogs can have PTSD too that affects their entire lives. My friend has a dog who exhibits PTSD symptoms.

"Oh poor dogs BUT WHAT ABOUT HUMANS?? Actual human beings with real mental health issues"
Like why even MENTION dogs??
Let's use another example
"Think of the poor children is a better PSA than think of the adults you see on the street who have real issues"
It's direct invalidation of subject.

I'm already in college and graduating next year. They can have fun with that.
They quite literally invalidated dogs.
It's one thing to say "we need to help people" and it's another to say that dogs are less deserving.
What does this look like to you?

I'm aro Ace.
That shit isnt queer. π I'm not gay. Tf?
Also the FUCK does anger have to do with who I fuck.
I'm here cause they talked shit about animals, specifically chocolate labs. You can fuck right off with your assumptions about my sexuality.

Given I don't talk to those out of my notifs/timeline blocking me wouldn't be worth it either.
Definitely save the first for someone who goes on all your posts or sends gore or something similar.
Unfortunately online there's lots.

My argument is "stop invalidating dogs just because people don't like you".
Has nothing to do with service.
A dog would sooner save you from a fire than a neighbor who says hi once in a while.
It's about care, not service. Humans are selfish. Dogs aren't. They're loving instead of bitter.

As someone neurodivergent: fuck you π
Look at their comment below the post where they further cement the personal grudge against dogs getting help.
I value dogs more than any human. They'll never resent a person for having something they don't. They're basically small children their whole lives.

The post is saying basically
"Dog doesn't like it? Big woop! I have real problems."
That's what pisses me off.
"I need help too" is not the same as "I deserve it more than a random chocolate lab" (see their comment below the post)

Specifying a human with "mental health issues" and then saying "poor dog" is invalidation.
That is what I'm mad about.
"I need help too" vs "how come they get help when they're just an animal" are 2 different things.
The first is fine, great even.
The second is invalidating: "I have REAL issues"

Fuck humans who use dogs in stuff like this.
I wouldn't have cared if they didn't invalidate animals with the same problems.
I said fuck MY neighbors cause they're assholes. Some abuse kids too.

I graduated HS early and I'm set to graduate college next year.
Again: no one is daring to explain what the post actually said yet insists I got it wrong when the text is RIGHT THERE. π

Then I challenge you to say what the post meant if not
"Why are dogs cared for instead of actual humans"
And "why am I worth less than a chocolate lab". (See their comment below the post)
Explain what the post actually means cause no one is including the poster.
