The "age" and "acuity" standards set by the press and electronic media are arbitrary; they're apparently unable to call Trump unfit physically and mentally as they have the incumbent. This is about propaganda as implicative perception, not evenly and unilaterally applied to every Old White Person.

Former President Donald Trump spent a little over a quarter of his presidency, around 380 of his 1,461 days in office on personal trips. He still had time to do a lot of damage. This idea that the chief executive must be alert and in the Oval Office 24/7 oddly didn't apply.

Why wouldn't Pete Buttigieg be a good candidate? Kamala Harris? Sure but why not consider Sanders? We might even invite HRC to the convention, she has some support, certainly if she declared. Al Gore and John Kerry are both still viable, let's think outside the box.
