I wasn’t sure about at worlds end because it doesn’t explicitly parody anything in the disaster/invasion genre’s (except maybe They Live because the aliens are hiding in plain sight?) but it does pull references to King Arthur, and still has a lot of love and detail poured into it by its team.

I'd still call it a parody of sci-fi, less a specific property and more broadly, Body Snatchers and some Dr Who... And the conclusion was a parody of that Star Trek style speech, where Picard would have talked about how 'perfecting' humanity would deprive us of our strive to improve or whatever,
