To further elaborate on that “like drugs” part, I mean it can make you feel like you’re on top of the world if you feel like you’ve no one else, but it can also be incredibly addictive and harmful too. So practicing moderation, or in this case realizing it as nothing more than fantasy, is needed.

Should add some context, I only recently learned back in 2022 that I was Asexual, but a deeply romantic person, so this kind of stuff was incredibly soothing, but could’ve been disastrous for me if I fell into that “talking to me specifically” mindset. Kinda like drugs, if that makes sense.

That’s a fair point, but it does enable the Ork way of makin Shootas. Just have fun with it! Stick pointy bits on here and then a big old engine to make it fully automatic for more dakka there, maybe some bombs underneath it to make the dakka explosive, and cover it all in red paint.

I wasn’t sure about at worlds end because it doesn’t explicitly parody anything in the disaster/invasion genre’s (except maybe They Live because the aliens are hiding in plain sight?) but it does pull references to King Arthur, and still has a lot of love and detail poured into it by its team.
