Nein liebe „Selbstdenker” und „Patrioten”, auch viele von uns fahren gern Auto, wollen keine Maske tragen, sind nicht begeistert, wenn die Turnhallen unserer Kinder für Geflüchtete genutzt werden müssen Aber es gilt halt auch mal unliebsame Dinge zu tun, für Weitsicht, für Moral und für das Leben!!!

Vandaag zag ik de 'Zone of Interest' voor de 2e keer. De opbouw, de verbanden werden doorzichtiger, de afschuw nog groter. Letterlijk naast Auschwitz 't oneindig menselijk lijden negeren kan enkel als je geestelijk volkomen dood bent. Er bestaat weliswaar giftige schoonheid, maar geen liefde.

Die truffel essence heeft 'n chemische zweetvoeten geur, daar heeft nog geen truffel naast gelegen. En ja, het wordt je heel trendy en snobby onder de neus gewreven. Ik at een keer echte truffel, 'n zwarte en witte, over de pasta, zo, dan weet je voor altijd hoe het smaakt. Het lijkt er niet op.

Dit was een bijzondere middag. Ik kreeg bovendien een boek cadeau dat precies de prangende vragen stelt en lichten laat schijnen over 'n onderwerp dat me mijn levenlang bezighoudt. Verrukkelijk voer voor muzieklovers, musicologen, musici, en taalliefhebbers. Een groot aha.

Vandaag is het de 93ste verjaardag van James Dean. Hier oefent hij gelaatsuitdrukkingen tijdens een New Yorkse fotosessie met Dennis Stock in maart 1955. Jimmy had een nacht doorgehaald en het is te zien, tot (aanvankelijk) chagrijn van Stock want die foto's zou Time niet willen hebben.

Gisteren beleefde ik Petite Messe Solennelle, de mis met 'n jeukende glimlach, ik kon maar moeite een schaterlach onderdrukken. Rossini zelf vroeg zich af of 't een heilige mis was of een mis vol heiligschennis.
Ik weet 't zeker: hij is in de hemel.
